Fortress gnome Kaarle and gnomes Suomenlinna Museum

Dressed up for Christmas, Suomenlinna Centre offers a taste of the history of the fortress and a treat in the café. A Christmas tree decorates the lobby, where you will find a Christmas forest scene. You can get into the Christmas spirit in the café with hot mulled wine and Christmas delicacies.

The Suomenlinna Museum, where you can learn about the history and present of the fortress, also has a Christmas atmosphere. The little elves arrive at the Suomenlinna Museum, accompanied by the fortress elf Kaarle. However, the elves are in a fickle mood and have gone into hiding in the museum's main exhibition. During their search, they learn a thing or two about the 270-year-old sea fortress and the lives of its inhabitants. The museum's receptionist will give you tips on where to start looking for the elves, and you can walk the route for a museum entrance fee.
