Privacy Policy

The Museum Card is a personal card. Our customers' data protection is particularly important to us.

We maintain a register of Museum Card customers. It stores, for example, customer details provided when starting to use the service and statistical data about the services used. The data is used for the maintenance and development of the Museum Card system, for communication related to the validity and use of the service and, if the customer provides their consent, for the communication and marketing of services related to the Museum Card.

Customer details are not disclosed to any third parties except anonymised for research purposes, or if the law or a public official so requires. Customers have the right to request that their own details be deleted from the customer register. This means a request to discontinue the provision of the service, so in such a case the validity of the Museum Card will cease.

Check your personal data and museum visits

On Your Museum Card customer page, you can view:

  • your personal data
  • your museum visits
  • the validity of your Museum Card

Museum Card mobile application

Customers can choose to use the Museum Card mobile app. If the customer chooses to pay for admission by mobile phone, their customer details and an identifiable portrait photograph will be linked to the app, according to the instructions provided. The portrait photograph is required to prevent digital misuse of the personal Museum Card when paying for admission. The portrait photograph will not be published, presented or otherwise used for other purposes or in another connection. More information about the app can be found from Museum Card Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
