The Museum of Kymenlaakso is situated in the Maritime Centre Vellamo at the old City Port of Kotka.
The Kymenlaakso Museum is the Kotka City Museum and the museum with regional responsibility for Kymenlaakso. The exhibitions include both cultural-historical and art exhibitions. The Coast Guard Museum, which is implemented in cooperation with the Finnish Border Guard, sheds light on the work of the Coast Guard from the time of prohibition era of the 1930s to the present day. The Coast Guard Museum is open in its current form until 8 December 2024. The renewed exhibition will open in April 2025.
The Kymenlaakso Museum is located in Maritime Centre Vellamo in Kotka's traditional Old Port. There you will also find the Maritime Museum of Finland, the museum shop Plootu and restaurant Laakonki.
