Measured and Drawn
Serlachius Headquarters, Mänttä-Vilppula
- 15.3.2025–1.3.2026
Documented buildings from Mänttä and Huhkojärvi.
Measured and drawn presents existing buildings in the form of new drawings by architects and architecture students. Measurement drawings have been a part of the education of architects for over one hundred years. The skilful drawings, produced with traditional techniques, record and reveal the details and structures of buildings.
The drawings in the exhibition are the result of measurement camps held in autumn 2023. Architecture students from the University of Tampere measured ten housing-related subjects in Mänttä from different periods.
Huhkojärvi farm, founded by Gösta Serlachius in the late 1920s, was documented by architects from the International VERNADOC Network. Exhibition’s curator is Milla Sinivuori-Hakanen.
