Adventure Day: Ancient Survivors

Are you a tenacious survivor? Come and try what skills were needed to survive the Stone Age even in challenging natural conditions.

Kierikki Stone Age village offers things to do, see and experience for the whole family. In the fishing-themed workshop, you will tie a fishing net together and learn to make a fishing rod with which you can try your luck at fishing in the village's coastal waters. The village also has a Big Pike trick course for the first time, suitable for all ages.

During the adventure day, you can try Ancient Survivors game for the first time. In the game, the entire village is a giant game board on which the players can progress by performing actions. Players jump into the inhabitants of three different stone age villages of Kierikki and start preparing for the coming winter by collecting food and supplies. Join the villagers and compete for resources!

- Starting at 11 a.m., films every hour in the Centre of Ancient Times auditorium: Stone Age film "Sun Stone" and Nature film "Ajan askeleita"
- The Nature Walk to the Stone Age exhibition opened this summer at the Centre of Ancient Times and a fascinating archaeological exhibition
- At 11 am and 1 p.m. guided tour for children from the Centre of Ancient Times to the Stone Age village
- Ancient skills of the Stone Age village - making jewelry stones, archery, crowded canoeing and red mud painting - guided all day
- For the youngest members of the family Maisteri Ålander's play excavations

You can buy lunch at Centre of Ancient Times. You can enjoy your own snacks and roast them on stone age village campfires.
