The Museum of Tornio Valley showcases Tornio Valley culture and history on both sides of the Finnish-Swedish border.
The Museum of Tornio Valley showcases Tornio Valley culture and history on both sides of the Finnish-Swedish border. The Museum specialices in the local way of life and border region phenomena. The permanent exhibition highlights the traditional means of living, the history of Tornio and Haparanda cities, border trade and smuggling. Local languages and dialects can be listened to in audiochairs. Past becomes alive through the artifacts and abundant picture and film material. On top of the permanent exhibition, there are 3-5 temporary exhibitions per year.

Guided tours
Guided tours for exhibitions are to be booked in advance.
Price: 30 euros during the weekdays until 5 pm, in the evenings and on the weekends 50 euros.
