War history and lives of soldiers in Finland, from medieval days to modern times.

Museo Militaria is a museum dedicated to Finnish military history and military life. It is located right next to Häme Castle in Hämeenlinna.
The museum’s permanent exhibition, which was fully renovated in 2026 spans three floors of the main building. It traces history from the Middle Ages to the present day, presenting the stories of the artillery, engineer, and signals branches alongside the broader history of Finland. The exhibition also covers Suojeluskuntajärjestö, the Lotta Svärd organization, and the Soldiers' Home Association. Special sections within the permanent exhibition include a room dedicated to Artillery General Vilho Nenonen, a room showcasing encryption devices, and a room highlighting the protective operations of the engineer corps.
Visitors can explore historical eras and the present day through a variety of artifacts, images, texts, and documents. The exhibition also features interactive stations where visitors can try their hand at tasks such as telegraphy or they can examine vintage aerial photographs. The renovated permanent exhibition also offers the chance to listen to authentic stories, including accounts from artillery training camps in the 1920s and 1930s.
Museo Militaria features a museum shop and café, both open during museum hours.
