The Åland Art Museum presents Åland art from a broad perspective, from paintings and sculptures to installations. In addition, the museum shows special exhibitions that continuously offer visitors new art impressions and influences.
The art museum actively follows the development of contemporary art and works to act as a forum for artists and the art public.
We share space with the Åland Cultural History Museum in the middle of Mariehamn, right next to the town square, and the entrance ticket is valid for both museums.

Free admission the first Thursday of every month, on International Museum Day 18.5, and on th Åland Islands Autonomy Day 9.6. Free admission for all 7-17 year old!
Guided tours
Presentations in the summer of 2026:
Presentations of the summer exhibitions of Åland Art Museum will be offered on Tuesdays between June 9th and July 28th, at 1 pm. and 3 pm. The language is chosen between Swedish and English depending on those who partake. The presentation is included in the entry fee.
Private presentations are available by appointment. See the museum’s home page for all the alternatives and fees.
