Prohibition in Finland: 1.6.1919 - 5.4.1932.
Smuggling leagues, thugs and torpedos as well as resistance movements surveilling authorities were all part of the unpresedentet illegal liquor run, which took place during the Finnish prohibition. Millions of litres were smuggled, stored and distributed - all as Banned Liquor.
The exhibition Banned Liquor unwraps the prohibition era, the smuggling, the temperance movement and the common attitude in western Uusimaa during the Finnish prohibition.
