The Überhund exhibition that has taken Finland by storm will arrive with new treats in Kuopio in February 2024. The basic bones of the exhibition are curated by Susanna Luojus, director of the Salo Art Museum, with an extra special mix from the Kuopio Art Museum's collections.
A surprising number of dogs have been depicted in visual art, but as characters they are often so commonplace and unremarkable that they may go unnoticed. Überhund elevates dogs to a starring role and the centre of attention. The exhibition also tells the tale of the long-shared history of our species and the uniqueness of our relationship.
