For Sun and Wind to Paint on – workshop

Light and shadow define the room and space. The sun paints a patch of light on the floor. What kind of materials would you choose for your dream home? What kind of materials and colors would create light and coziness in the space? In this workshop, you can design and create your own dream home map using different pictures and other materials.

Architect Marie-José Van Hee, winner of the Alvar Aalto Medal, took careful account of how light behaves on different materials in her own designs. The title of the exhibition on display in the gallery, For Sun and Wind to Paint on, reflects this thinking.

The workshop is included in the admission fee to the Aalto2 Museum Centre.
