Maailman hienoimmat luontokuvat kertovat koskettavia tarinoita elonkirjon kauneudesta ja herkkyydestä
Lontoon Natural History Museum on järjestänyt Wildlife Photographer of the Year -kilpailun jo 58 kertaa. Se on yksi maailman tunnetuimmista valokuvakilpailuista, johon osallistuu joka vuosi kymmeniä tuhansia valokuvaajia, nuorista lupauksista alan ammattilaisiin. Kilpailun parhaimmisto kootaan vuosittain NHM:n tuottamaksi kansainväliseksi kiertonäyttelyksi, jossa on lähes sata poikkeuksellisen hienoa luontokuvaa.
Wildlife Photographer of the Year -näyttelyssä perehdytään moniin teemoihin, kuten eläinten käyttäytymiseen, ihmisen ja luonnon vuorovaikutukseen sekä maisemien henkeäsalpaavaan kauneuteen. Tavoitteena on herättää ihmisten kiinnostus ja myötätunto muita eläviä olentoja kohtaan koskettavien valokuvien avulla. Yhteisen planeettamme ja elonkirjon tulevaisuus on meidän käsissämme.
