Paul and Fanny Sinebrychoff House Museum

Sinebrychoff Art Museum, Helsinki

  • 6.9.2022–

The heart of the Sinebrychoff Art Museum is Paul and Fanny Sinebrychoff´s House Museum.

In the art collectors´ home you can feel the atmosphere of a luxurious bourgeois home of the early 20th century. In 1842, Sinebrychoff´s new headquarters and residence was completed at Bulevardi 40. The building was immediately considered one of most significant private houses in Helsinki.

The last residents of the house named Sinebrychoff, Paul and Fanny Sinebrychoff, were passionate art enthusiasts. They collected beautiful European art and antiquities for their home. After her husband's death, Fanny Sinebrychoff donated the art collection to the Finnish state in 1921.

Paul and Fanny's wish was to make their art treasures available for everyone to enjoy. The spirit of their legacy lives on in the museum.
