Monikulttuurikalenteri2026: Strong Women

An invitation to all women to draw portraits of the strong women in their lives. What is to be a strong woman? How strength can be seen in the woman you have chosen as the main character of the artwork?

The artwork will be created on a tile using a porcelain marker, and the style is completely free. It may also be text, such as a poem or an aphorism, that represents or recalls that person. We will photograph the artworks and compile them into a digital collage. You can take your own tile from the art workshop.

The art workshop is free and will be held at the Oulu art museum 8.3.2026 klo 13–16

The art workshop is held by Laura Elina, a graphic designer and a visual artist from Oulu who is interested in human experience, womanhood and a woman’s perspective. She thinks, what makes us feel and why.

Registration takes place at the museum on the workshop day from 12:30 pm onward. Participants will be accepted in the order of registration. The number of spots is limited. Children under 10 can participate with an adult.
