Jaksaa jaksaa! Kämpa på! takes visitors on a journey from the peak moments of competitive sports to the quiet dedication of background forces, the joy of everyday exercise, and the landscapes of movement – along trails, across fields, and into the stands.

K.H. Renlund Museum’s most dynamic exhibition of 2025 dives into the rich cultural history of local sports and physical activity. Through research, stories, and memory-laden objects, the exhibition traces the layered history of sports and movement in Kokkola – a history driven by a familiar rallying cry: jaksaa jaksaa, kämpa på!

You are warmly welcome to the exhibition opening on Thursday, April 24 at 6 PM, at the Exhibition Hall! The exhibition will be opened by Kalle Lassila, Regional Director at Keski-Pohjanmaan Liikunta ry.

The exhibition is produced by K.H. Renlund Museum in collaboration with the City of Kokkola’s Sports Services and local sports clubs. Curated by Erik Enberg and Anna-Katriina Puikko.

Jaksaa jaksaa! Kämpa på! will be on display at the Exhibition Hall from April 25 to November 16, 2025.
