The Many Words of Night – Non-Stop Poetry Workshops in Winter Holiday Week

In this non-stop workshop you can choose from various tasks that explore nocturnal themes, shades of twilight and dawn, dreams, nightmares, and restlessness – night surprises. The exercises for children combine word art with drawing, while adults get to immerse themselves in tasks that invite them to stop and decipher the atmosphere of the exhibition in their own words, from the perspective of their own lives.

You can do one exercise or more – at your own pace, listening to your own rhythm. If needed, you can get help from an instructor.

The workshop is led by creative writing instructor and bibliotherapist Annamari Typpö and the Finnish National Gallery’s guide and teacher specialising in visual arts Riitta Ojamaa.

Come alone, with a friend, or the whole family. The workshop is suitable for all ages. Children under school age must be accompanied by an adult.
