Kalervo Palsa's 75th anniversary exhibition.
Kalervo Palsa (1947–1987), artist from Kittilä, would have turned 75 last year. In honor and celebration of the year, six artists created contemporary artworks inspired by the legacy of Kalervo Palsa’s work. Celebration of the year continues and the artworks have been collected together in the exhibition named Year of the Smiley boy. Exhibition is displayed in the art library of Rovaniemi Art Museum.
The artists of the exhibition are photography and installation artist Juha Allan Ekholm (Espoo/Turku), visual- and media artist Tuomo Kangasmaa (Oulu), sculptor Essi Korva (Kolari), artist Veera Kaamos Pitkänen (Espoo), painter Reijo Raekallio (Kittilä) and visual artist, Doctor of Fine Arts (DFA) Jyrki Siukonen (Tampere).
