#ICOScapes photo exhibition at the Natural History Museum

The Photo Exhibition highlights unique environments where scientists work at ICOS greenhouse gas measurement stations.

The #ICOScapes Photo Exhibition highlights unique environments across Europe where scientists work at ICOS greenhouse gas measurement stations. The photographs were taken by internationally celebrated nature and wildlife photographer Konsta Punkka during his visits to 12 stations in 12 countries. Konsta Punkka on Instagram: @kpunkka

ICOS (Integrated Carbon Observation System) is a European-wide greenhouse gas research infrastructure. ICOS produces standardised data on greenhouse gas concentrations in the atmosphere, as well as on carbon circulation between the atmosphere, the earth, and oceans. This information is being used by scientists as well as by decision makers for predicting and mitigating climate change. The ICOS data is based on the measurements from 134 stations across 12 European countries.

The #ICOScapes Photo Exhibition at the Kimnaasi hall at the Natural History Museum from 23rd January to 15th March 2020.
