The oldest newspaper in Finland, Åbo Underrättelser, celebrates its 200 years!

 

The festive exhibition, From lead to digi – 200 years of newspaper history, presents the development of Åbo Underrättelser since its birth in 1824. How has the printing technology changed? Which have been the most interesting news? Who are the people behind the newspaper? This and much more is presented in the summer exhibition at Sibelius Museum.

The exhibition opens on June 15th and continues until September 15th 2024.

The Åbo Akademi University Foundation is the majority shareholder of ÅU Media which publishes the newspapers Åbo Underrättelser and Pargas Kungörelser.
