Georg Marander + Avec is a glittery, electro-acoustic Italo-inspired indie duo from Vaasa.
Georg Marander started out as Axel Brink‘s solo project in 2018, exploring whether it was possible to make Italo disco in Finnish-Swedish. In early 2023, Georg was joined by Avec (Izabella Fant) on drum machine and vocals. Since then, they have played in Helsinki, Turku, Stockholm and Vaasa, among other places. Georg Marander’s singles have been praised in several places over the years. Among other things, the song “Vi åker till Italien” was labeled “Best right now” by Gaffa in the summer of 2020. The name is a reference to the legendary synth artist Giorgio Moroder.
Tickets 10€, doors 18.30. Concert tickets cannot be bought with the Museum Card.
