What did kids do in kindergarten back in the day? And what are Fröbeli blocks, really? Prepare to play and find out at the kindergarten museum!
The Kindergarten Museum is located in the Jugend-style house built in 1908, designed by the architect Wivi Lönn in the Sörnäinen district of Helsinki. In the museum, you will discover a century of activity in the Ebeneser Kindergarten. There is room to play and build in the kindergarten’s large hall. The museum contains things to discover and do for children and adults alike.
In the Kindergarten Museum´s exhibit "Public Kindergarten - Helsinginkatu 3-5" the journey of a child from a working class home to the kindergarten is decribed, and the daily routine of the Ebeneser Kindergarten and the historical milieu of the people of Sörnäinen are depicted.
