The largest open pit mine in the Nordics at one time, the museum leads you to the history of limestone mining.
The museum is located by the Nordkalk limestone quarry. The museum´s collections display Parga Kalkbergs aktiebolags activities in the area, including production of lime and cement, laboratory research and seafaring. The company´s social constribution and recreational activities in the area. A new geological exhibition tells about the orgin of the limestone.
