Artist Talk: Kirsi Neuvonen, Jyväskylä Art Street

Welcome to an artist meeting at the Jyväskylä Art Museum, where you will have the opportunity to meet Kirsi Neuvonen, the artist behind the museum’s main summer exhibition. During the meeting, you can hear about Neuvonen’s artistic practice and the stories behind her works.
Participation in the artist talk is included in the museum admission fee or with a Museum Card. Free admission for visitors under 24. Note! The event is in Finnish.

Kirsi Neuvonen is a beloved printmaker and is especially known as a pioneer of Finnish colour printmaking. Her art combines sensitivity, bold experimentation and multilayered visual thinking. Neuvonen draws inspiration for her works from sources such as antiquity, art history and girlhood. This extensive solo exhibition offers a unique insight into the artist’s career, themes and techniques.

The autumn season opening of Jyväskylä’s Art Street is organised by independent artists and art organisations, individual artists, the City of Jyväskylä and the University of Jyväskylä.
