The Rauhala Dragoons at the Military Museum

On Wednesday, September 2nd, the Rauhala Dragoons will present traditions of military horsemanship and cavalry maneuvers at the Suomenlinna parade field. The horses and their riders will also be outside the Military Museum´s Manege and the submarine Vesikko. In the Military Museum´s Manege there will be short guided tours on the role and significance of horses in the Winter and Continuation Wars, and in the Artillery Manege there is a horse-themed crafting workshop.

Programme

Rauhala Dragoons (The event is subject to weather conditions)

12.00 The Rauhala Dragoons will present traditions of military horsemanship and cavalry maneuvers (Suomenlinna parade field).
12.30 The Dragoons will stop by outside the Military Museum´s Manege and the submarine Vesikko.
14.00 The Dragoons can be met in front of the Military Museum´s Manege.

The Coloring point and the crafting workshop

Sit down for a moment with summer- and horse-themed coloring pages or craft your own horse from cardboard! You can find coloring pencils and materials for crafts by the Artillery Manege ticket booth.

Guided tours

There will be short approximately 15-minute guided tours during the day on the role and significance of horses in the Winter and Continuation Wars. The tours are included in the Museum ticket price (10/5/0 €) and begin at the ticket booth of the Military Museum Manege.
