Seminar – Folklore and Folk Beliefs in the Archipelago
As part of our FOLKTRO main exhibition, we are organizing a seminar exploring themes of folk belief and traditional folklore. Join us to hear presentations by experts and take part in discussions about folk beliefs in the archipelago—from stone labyrinths to encounters with mythical beings.

Stories, beliefs, and mythical beings have always played a central role in life in the archipelago. The exhibition FOLKTRO at Archipelago Centre Korpoström, expressed primarily through contemporary art, explores these traditions and phenomena while inviting visitors to reflect on how folk beliefs are experienced and understood today.
As part of the FOLKTRO exhibition, we are organizing a seminar on folk beliefs and folklore traditions on July 1 at Archipelago Centre Korpoström. Throughout the day, speakers will share fascinating perspectives on people's experiential relationship with nature, mythical beings, and the unexplained.
The seminar is free of charge and bilingual (FI & SW). The presentations will be held primarily in Swedish.
