Ahti Lassila: Walking Bass at the Museum of Central Finland

Ahti Lassila’s Walking Bass brings the double bass into the soundscape of KeMu’s exhibitions. Lassila wanders through the exhibition spaces, developing musical ideas in different locations. The objects, the space, and the acoustic double bass come together to create an experience that transforms a visit to the museum into a holistic experience. On his first tour, Lassila wanders through KeMu’s permanent exhibition, Exploring Central Finland. The second tour focuses on the current temporary exhibitions.

Ahti Lassila is a musician who performs both classical and rhythmic music. He has been visiting museums with his double bass since 2015.
