Ironworks Villagers’ Activities - The Summer Chores

This year, the Summer Chores workshops focus on sustainability, and participation in the workshops is free of charge!

In the summer, between 8th of June to 9th of August you can meet the workers of the old Ironworks going about their daily chores in the Museum area of Hammarbacken. You will be able to take part in various chores like baking in the bakery and traditional handicrafts.
On the following dates we will have other specific workshops between 12am to 3 pm:
11.6. Baking traditional rieska with left over porridge (starts every hour, at 12 am, 1pm and 2pm)
17.6. Recycling crafts using glass jars (starts every hour, at 12 am, 1pm and 2pm)
24.6. Nature artwork (drop in)
1.7. Painter’s day! (drop in)
23.7. Dye yarn using onion skins (starts every hour, at 12 am, 1pm and 2pm)
4.8. Dye yarn using mushrooms (starts every hour, at 12 am, 1pm and 2pm)

No advance booking needed to the workshops, but we can only take 10 participants at a time.
In the summer of 2026, participation in the workshops will be free of charge!
