At the Seurasaari Open-Air Museum, visitors can explore Finnish cottage culture and leisure time as a new museum building, the Summer Cottage, opens this summer at the open-air museum!
The Summer Cottage, built in 1953, has been moved to Helsinki from Hyvinkää and is displayed at Seurasaari in its 21st-century form, with layers from different eras and original furnishings.
This colourful and lively ensemble offers visitors the opportunity to experience a small cottage getaway in the middle of Helsinki.
The opening day of the Summer Cottage will be celebrated with Cottage Olympics at Antti farmstead, as well as events in the cottage yard. The programme includes familiar cottage games, hammocks, and juice and cookies.
Admission to Antti farmstead is free. Entry to the museum buildings is included with a Museum Card or a museum ticket.
