Joy of Aviation – kids’ day

During the day, visitors will have the opportunity to meet the pilots of the Midnight Hawks and hear what it is like to fly in an aerobatic display team. There will also be flight and rally simulators to try out, as well as a small pedal-powered airplane.

For children, the programme includes pony rides, bouncy castles, a foam sword-fighting activity organised by Mannerheim League for Child Welfare, COBI bricks building activities, princess-themed fun, street chalk art, and free drawing in the museum courtyard.

Friendly Therapy dogs will also be there to meet visitors, while Liikenneturva (Traffic Safety) and the Voluntary Rescue Service Vapepa will be presenting their activities.

At the ground exhibition area, visitors can explore emergency vehicles, equipment from the Air Force Academy and airfield maintenance vehicles from Finavia.

If you get hungry, the Air Force Museum’s own hot dog stand as well as sweet and savoury treats from the MLL kiosk will be available.
