Welcome on International Museum Day!
Helsinki University Museum Flame’s Observatory will be open on International Museum Day, 18 May 2026, from 12.00 to 18.00 free of charge.
The Observatory’s exhibitions illustrate the wonders of space and the fascinating past of the building, completed in 1834. You will have the chance to admire rooms where celestial phenomena were once observed and where astronomers and their families lived until 1969.
