How is life for the Roma people in East Europe?

 

There are 12 million Roma living in Europe. They are the largest minority on our continent. Photographer Meeri Koutaniemi traveled to Ukraine, Romania, Kosovo, and Moldova to meet Roma people, mainly women, who are working to improve their circumstances.

Come and hear more about the human rights situation and activism of the Roma people in Eastern Europe.
