Asemic craft club

Sinebrychoff Art Museum, Helsinki

  • 28.2.2026 (12–15)

Asemic writing is a form of visual poetry that, instead of the meanings of words, emphasizes the physical gesture of writing as a medium for emotions and experiences.

There will be an introduction by poet and pioneer of asemic poetry Karri Kokko. The club’s special guest for the occasion is poet and visual artist Hermanni Härmälä, who will guide us in making our own scrapbook! Poet Hanna Syrjämäki will also join in the discussion.

After the introduction, everyone can create poems in whatever ways they choose. While doing so, we can chat or simply immerse ourselves in creating in this shared space.

The event is suitable for everyone. No previous experience required!

Register: kurssit@nihilinterit.fi by 21.2. Maximum 10 participants. Cancellations of reserved places at least 7 days before the start of the course: kurssit@nihilinterit.fi.

With a museum ticket.
