Eternal Metal – Metal Art from Finnish Churches and Cemeteries 10.1.‒12.4.2026

The exhibition presents metal grave memorials from Finnish cemeteries, along with selected metal objects from churches and parishes, such as communion vessels, roof crosses, and candelabra.

The exhibition’s curators, master blacksmith Jouko Nieminen and master blacksmith, sculptor Antti Nieminen, have compiled an extensive photographic archive of Finnish grave crosses and other memorials. They have also created, restored, and reconstructed numerous ecclesiastical metal objects.

The exhibition features both artefacts and photographs – it also showcases the processes of making and restoring these objects.
