Image Being - Artist Evening

This event is free and open to all. Registration is not required. All artist activations are available on a first-come basis, no seating.

Join us for Image Being Artist Evening. During this free, open evening in celebration of the exhibition Image Being, artists bring the theme of curiosity and a collective vision of contemporary photography to life in Museum’s galleries through music, dance, conversation, and performance.

17.15–18.30 Slow Art tour with the artists
Santeri Kuisma, Yufan Lu, Sadhbh Lynam, Johannes Romppanen, Lumi Tuomi, Vinayak

Talking about an artwork with someone else can open our eyes to new details and reveal things we did not see at first. These tours will help you to slow down and spend time with selected artworks from the Image Being exhibition together with the artists and discussing them with others in a welcoming and supportive atmosphere.

The tour is in Finnish and English.

18.40–18.45 Kanny Wu performance

This is a performance that borders on “silence.” Yes, you have indeed heard sound – it might be music, or perhaps it represents different individuals. “Silence” is a space undisturbed, where one listens to the voice within. All you need to do is simply be yourself.
