Evening classic: Italian opera journey with guitar

Italian Opera Journey on Guitar is a classical guitar concerto inspired by Italian opera. It consists of fantasies, themes with variations and other forms composed by the most important guitarists of the 19th century. The names of the inspiring opera composers are the best of the period: Rossini, Verdi, Bellini, Mascagni and Puccini. The musicians often moved to European capitals, such as Vienna, London and Paris, and even to Russia.

Born in Pisa in 1991, Francesco D’Angelo is a guitarist, composer and teacher (in Oulu and Kuusamo), with a strong background in free improvisation, modern music and classical music. After performing in Italy and abroad in the most diverse ensembles, playing chamber music, orchestral music and electronic music, Francesco has returned to solo playing, resulting in the project "Italian Opera Journey on Guitar".
