The wintery exhibition can be visited in the Maritime Museum's Tower.
Year-round maritime transport is vital for Finland. Over 80 percent of our country’s foreign trade is conducted by sea. During most winters, the majority of Finnish ports freeze over.
The exhibition features a curated selection of photographs from the Maritime Museum’s collection, showcasing winter navigation. Complementing the exhibition is Heikki Vastiala’s sound art piece "Lyly" (2024).
