Axel Straschnoy began building his own rockets to become part of the Finnish space dream and has since launched over 100 self-constructed rockets into space.
Axel Straschnoy’s long-standing and multifaceted space project stems from a sociological and artistic interest in Finnish futurism, with a particular focus on the Finnish Astronautical Society. Established in 1950s to promote space exploration, the society now concentrates on launching scale models of space rockets. Straschnoy began building his own rockets to become part of the Finnish space dream and has since launched over 100 self-constructed rockets into space.
