Join us to play the instruments in the Organic Sound Society table in the Oulu Art Museum's Maja/Den exhibition, together with artists Maarit Bau Mustonen and James Prevett.
Participation is based on improvisation and listening to others, no playing skills required. The sessions will last approximately one hour and will be broadcast live on Out of Office (OOO) radio at www.oooradio.live.
Organic Sound Society was founded by Maarit Bau Mustonen and James Prevett as a loose collective for people without musical training who wanted to make sound together. Organic Sound Society meets regularly to play together, and they also set up their instruments in other spaces for people to enjoy and play together.
Organic Sound Society table is part of the Maja/Den exhibition at the Oulu Art Museum (15.11.2024-2.3.2025). Visitors can play the homemade musical instruments at any time during the opening hours of the exhibition and the museum. Read more about the exhibition: https://ouluntaidemuseo.fi/en/exhibition/den/
Participation with a museum ticket (10 / 7 euros, under 18s free). Museum card, Kaikukortti and cultural vouchers (Epassi, SmartumPay and Edenred's Virike card) are also accepted as means of payment. Payment can be made at the museum's information desk. Under 18s free of charge!
