EMMA Talks | Expert Tour of the Tschabalala Self: Around the Way Exhibition

Ingrid Orman, the curator of the exhibition, will discuss the process of assembling the exhibition and the museum’s collaboration with the artist. She will also provide insights into the background of the works. In Finnish.
Around the Way features multi-material paintings in which the Tschabalala Self addresses themes relating to race, gender and their interconnectedness. The exhibition is part of the InCollection exhibitions series co-produced by EMMA and Saastamoinen Foundation.
Tschabalala Self’s first-ever performance piece, Sounding Board (2021) will be screened at EMMA’s Aito venue after the tour.
