Good, Better, Vantaa

When they reach middle age, many people look back in their life. What have they done so far? What they should be doing for the rest of their life? The exhibition Good, better, Vantaa is the autobiography of the 50-year-old city. It looks back on the tentative first steps marked with growth spurts in the 1970s, and on reaching adulthood during the depression of the 1990s. In the early years of the new millennium, the city focuses fully on building its career. It also considers the possibility of sharing the burden of juggling multiple roles with a partner. Finally, it even succeeds in tackling the challenges posed by a worldwide pandemic.
