Lively at Hammarbacken

The summer season of Fiskars Museum and the new themed exhibition – “The Eternal Forest” – opens with the Lively at Hammarbacken event on June 8th at 11-17.
At the museum area, visitors can meet villagers from the 1800s and 1900s and experience life as it was in the past. The villagers will present the new themed exhibition, and visitors can also participate in activities such as baking in a wood-fired oven and horseshoe throwing. Pojo UF’s folk dance group will perform the “Järnbrukspolonäsen,” a local dance found in our archives, and guests will hear the shepherdess sing traditional herding songs. Authentic Fiskars oak saplings will be sold at the event. Café Hammarbacken will serve refreshments and delicious pastries as usual.
