Approaching Humanity

To build a sustainable humanity, we need skills to meet each other, to understand different ways of thinking and to learn open, consensus-building debate skills.
In the fall of 2021, Evangelical Lutheran Church of Finland and Step Study Centre invited 10 early childhood education experts together with the Art Promotion Center, the City of Espoo and the Espoo Parish Association to participate in a new kind of art-mediated working method.
In addition to the invited experts, visual artists Erno Enkenberg and Sini Pelkki were invited to implement this collective thinking into works of art. The exhibition is thus an opening for discussion on fundamental questions of humanity as well as encountering and understanding it. The project is curated by Aura Seikkula.
