Ahlström Voyage exhibition open

By public request, you can now also visit the wonderful Ahlström Voyage exhibition at Makkarakoskentie 34 B on your own.

This exhibition in the old forge provides an interesting insight into the history and present of the Ahlström companies, the family and the Noormarkku ironworks over a period of more than 170 years.

The company's story is a significant part of Finnish industrial, architectural, art and design history. The exhibition includes art glass from Iittala, Karhula and Riihimäki glass factories. From the exhibition, you can find unique pieces from Tapio Wirkkala, Timo Sarpaneva and several Savoy vases designed by Alvar Aalto.

There is also an impressive miniature model of a the ironworks area.

There is also a museum shop.

By following the steps below you can book a tour with a museum card in our online shop:

Go to ahlstrominruukki.fi. On the website, click on the link to the online shop. Then select the public tours section. In the search box, enter the date you want to visit the shop. IMPORTANT: in the search field, you must enter the promotion code for the museum card.
Then click on search, after which the normal tour will appear, showing the normal tour and its price. The view will also show the tour booked with a museum card, which does not have a price. A tour booked with a museum card will always be followed by a -Museum card.
