Our Christmas offer gets you one extra month for free: 12 + 1 months. Museum Cards with a 13-month validity period are available online and at museums.

The offer applies to new Museum Cards, gifts and Museum Card renewals. The offer is valid from 7 December to 31 December 2023.

The Museum Card is a year-long ticket to 370 attractions around Finland. The hundreds of exhibitions offer something for everyone. The Museum Card gives you access to experiences related to, for example, art, science, history, nature, sports, cars and music.

When does the Museum Card’s validity period start?

• New cards: For new cards, the 13-month validity period starts from the first museum visit.
  
• Museum Card as a gift: The validity period of a Museum Card bought as a gift starts from the first visit, as with other new cards. This means that the gift recipient can start using the card whenever they want.
  
• Renewal of a valid Museum Card: If your card is still valid, renewing it will push the last day of validity back by 13 months.
  
• Renewal of an expired Museum Card: If your card has expired, the new 13-month validity period will start from the purchase date.
  

How and when is a Museum Card bought as a gift delivered?

Museum Cards bought online are delivered to the gift recipient according to your choice: by post in a gift envelope or digitally, i.e. as a text message and by email. Digital gifts always get there in time – schedule the gift to arrive on Christmas Eve, for example.

When you buy a Museum Card as a gift at a Museum attraction, you will get a Temporary Museum Card in a beautiful gift envelope that you can give to anyone.

Where can I use the Christmas offer to buy a Museum Card?

You can buy as many cards as you need from our online store or at a Museum Card attraction. The online store accepts online bank services, payment cards and MobilePay as a payment method.

Many museums also accept a wide range of payment methods. Before visiting a museum, check the museum’s opening hours and payment methods on the museum’s own website.

The Museum Card is always a good gift: it is also suitable for those who already have a Museum Card. The recipient can link the gift to a previously purchased card. This extends the validity period of the previous card by the validity period of the new card.

How to give a Museum Card as a gift

1) A digital gift that is delivered as a text message and by email

A digital gift will always get there in time! You can choose the delivery day and time for the digital gift yourself. The gift can be delivered to the recipient immediately or be scheduled to arrive on, for example, Christmas Eve. You can also add your own message to the digital gift. It will be included in the email sent to the recipient.

The gift recipient will get a customer number and instructions by email and SMS. They can be used to visit a museum right away. However, the validity period of the Museum Card starts from the first museum visit. When the gift recipient registers as a Museum Card user, a personal, plastic Museum Card will be sent to them.

2) An envelope posted to the gift recipient

If you want to give a Museum Card as a tangible gift, choose the gift envelope. You can also add your own message to the order. It will be printed on the letter along with your name.

The gift envelope contains a Temporary Museum Card and instructions for using it. They can be used to visit a museum right away, but the Museum Card’s validity period starts from the first museum visit. When the gift recipient registers as a Museum Card user using an online form, a personal, plastic Museum Card will be sent to them.

Please note that Museum Cards ordered in a gift envelope will arrive by post in 1–2 weeks. The exact delivery day will depend on Posti.

Please note! Gift envelopes ordered from the online store before 10 December 2023 will arrive by Christmas. After this, gift envelopes can be bought from Museum Card museums.

3) A Museum Card bought as a gift from a museum

When you buy a Museum Card as a gift from a museum, you will get a Temporary Museum Card in a beautiful gift envelope that you can give to anyone. The card can be used to visit a museum right away. The validity period starts from the first museum visit. When the gift recipient registers as a Museum Card user using an online form, a personal, plastic Museum Card will be sent to them.
