The Museum Card is a 12-month entrance ticket to inspiring experiences around Finland, including a wide range of events and monthly special benefits.

The period of validity of a new Museum Card will begin with the first museum visit - the recipient will choose the starting date of their cultural journey.

Where and how can I buy a Museum Card as a gift?

You can choose how the Museum Card will be delivered to the recipient: by post in a gift envelope or digitally by text message and email. When you buy it in a museum, you will get a temporary Museum Card in an envelope, which you can give to anyone you want.

You can buy as many gift Museum Cards as you like both online and the Museum Card museums. In our online store, you can pay through online bank or by card. In the museums, you can also pay by cash.

Three options for giving the Museum Card as a gift:

1) A digital gift delivered by text message and email

You can buy the digital gift at museot.fi/osta. You will choose the date and time of delivery of the digital gift. It can be delivered to the recipient right away or in a week’s time, for example. If you want to give the gift right away, you should choose the digital gift. You can also add your greetings to the gift, and they will be shown in the email.

The recipient will receive their customer number and instructions by email and text message. They can be used right away to visit a museum. When the recipient registers as a Museum Card user by using the online form, they will be sent a permanent Museum Card by post.

2) An envelope posted to the gift recipient

If you want to give the Museum Card as a tangible gift, you can choose the gift envelope. You can also add your greetings, which will be printed on the gift letter with your name.

The gift envelope includes a temporary Museum Card and instructions on how to use it. They can be used right away to visit a museum. When the recipient registers as a Museum Card user by using the online form, they will be sent a permanent Museum Card by post.

Place an order by 16.12.2021: Please note that the delivery of the gift envelope by post will take one to two weeks. The exact delivery date will depend on Posti’s services.

3) A gift Museum Card bought in a museum

When you buy the gift card in a museum, you will get a temporary Museum Card in a gift envelope, which you can give to anyone you want. The card can be used right away. When the recipient registers as a Museum Card user by using the online form, they will be sent a permanent Museum Card.
