Ruissalo Plant Day 2026
The popular Ruissalo Plant Day 2026 will be held on Saturday, June 6. During the event, visitors will have the opportunity to purchase even more unusual plants from smaller gardens.
Ruissalo Plant Day differs from larger plant or garden markets in that the sellers are mainly small-scale producers and growers of specialty plants. A wide range of more unusual herbaceous and woody plants adapted to Finnish conditions will be available for sale.
The sales area is located by the water lily ponds, a walk of a few hundred meters from the garden gate across the service yard. Wheelbarrows and hand carts are available to borrow for transporting purchases. The botanical garden’s own sales point is located in front of the greenhouses. Plants from the botanical garden are paid for indoors at the information desk or at the café.
