Children’s poetry readings

Duration approximately 20 minutes.

The readings offer children and adults an opportunity to enjoy poems and nursery rhymes about games, adventures, and creature comforts – all the things that are best experienced together. Poetry reading is multilingual, and you can hear rhymes in Finnish, Arabic, Dari, Nepali, Russian, Somali, and Ukrainian. The readers are students from Stadin AO.

What are the things that are important to you that you want to carry around with you, say, in your pocket? We make drawings on small concertina cards.

On Children’s Saturday, Ateneum guides will be present at the exhibition A Question of Time. They can answer your questions and will be happy to hear your thoughts and interpretations of the works!

Draw at the Ateneum
13:30–16:30

There will be portrait drawing on Children’s Saturday. Who would you like to draw? Who draws you? A guide will hand out materials and share tips to help children and adults create fun portraits together.

Orffit
The songs by the children’s music orchestra Orffit make you laugh and give you comfort just like a good friend.
