We warmly welcome you to come and celebrate Sibelius’ centennial Symphony with us!
Sunday 19th of February 2023 marked the 100th anniversary of the premiere of Jean Sibelius’ 6th Symphony. The original hand-written score was graciously donated to Sibelius Museum by the composer himself in the Autumn of 1955 after Otto Anderson visited him at Ainola. To commemorate its centenary, this score will be made available to the public for a limited time, both physically as well as in the form of a digitalisation that you can freely browse. Visitors may also familiarize them in different recorded versions of the 6th symphony.
