Mariana Nordgren's exhibition about the birds of North Karelia will open in the Ukko gallery of Koli nature center.
At the turn of the year, artist Mariana Nordgren's exhibition about the birds of North Karelia will open in the Ukko gallery of Koli nature center.
The exhibition offers a broad overview of the region's birdlife; from common woodpeckers to declining and rare species, such as the field warbler. The exhibition also contains information about the reasons for the decline of many species.
Nordgren's skillful watercolor paintings are a visually enjoyable way to get to know the birds of the Koli region.
Mariana is Bulgarian by birth. His journey to Finnish nature began ten years ago. The majestic forests of Pohjola, the clear and clean waters gave birth to a deep sense of enchantment in him. He started painting birds about seven years ago.
In Finland, his works have previously been exhibited at the Finnish Nature Center Haltia in 2019 and 2020.
The exhibition is on display 30.12.-31.3.2023 during the opening hours of the Uko Nature Center
Entrance to the exhibition is free.
