Heli Turkia: What Do You See in the Forest – Forest Adventures and Creatures from Nuuksio – An Interactive Exhibition

Nature, and particularly forests, have long been the home of beliefs, fairy-tale characters, and stories. Imagination runs wild in a forest setting.
Heli Turkia has wandered through the forests of Nuuksio, photographing the “creatures” formed by roots and rocks. These photographs are displayed on wooden panels in the light galleria. QR codes accompanying the images reveal the real locations of the creatures – after the exhibition, visitors can search for them in the forest and discover their own creations in natural formations.

Additionally, the exhibition includes Turkia’s forest-themed installations and writings. Visitors also have the opportunity to share their own forest-related writings as part of the exhibition.

Turkia aims to inspire people to explore their local forests. A forest visit doesn’t have to be just about hiking, mushroom picking, or berry gathering – the forest provides the perfect setting for searching for mystical creatures and embarking on an adventure.
